Punjab Police Blocks 63,749 Bank Accounts In Massive Cyber Fraud Investigation

The Punjab Police's State Cyber Crime Division has frozen sixty-three thousand seven hundred and forty-nine bank accounts linked to cyber fraud, involving transactions of nearly five hundred and forty point three four crore rupees in the past year. Approximately sixty-four crore rupees has been recovered and refunded to victims since two thousand and twenty-four. The police have registered sixty-two thousand two hundred and fifty-three cybercrime cases across the state during this period, and have made significant progress in identifying and disrupting cybercrime networks.
